HOW DO YOU MAKE SAUSAGE GRAVY?
- The first step to making this gravy is to cook one pound of pork breakfast sausage over medium heat. You can use sweet, mild, hot, or any type of pork sausage that you prefer.
- Once the sausage is browned through with no pink remaining you will add1/4 cup all purpose flour and stir until mixed into the sausage. No need to drain the grease. Leave that flavor right in the pan.
- Next add 2 cups milk (we use whole milk) and stir to combine.
- Stir for a minute or two more while the mixture simmers until the sausage gravy begins to thicken. That’s it!

WHAT TO EAT SAUSAGE GRAVY WITH:
Sausage gravy is best served over fresh warm biscuits in our opinion but who says you can’t switch it up and grab a croissant and bagel? Homemade biscuits are wonderful but honestly, save yourself a little time a give Pillsbury’s FROZEN biscuits a try. Better and less ingredients than the canned version and they sure do pass as homemade! Look for them in the bread section of your local grocery store’s freezer aisle.
